We're people who help.Big corporations and insurance companies have legal staffs to help them avoid responsibility for the harm they cause. We work hard to level the playing field and to give ordinary people and their families a fighting chance. Working for ordinary Texans is what we're are all about.
Our Business
At our firm, business is personal. Any legal situation is stressful, and when a case involves personal injury, there's a lot at stake. That's why we strive to protect our clients from pitfalls while working to produce outstanding results.
"Discourage litigation. Persuade your neighbors to compromise whenever you can. As a peacemaker the lawyer has superior opportunity of being a good man. There will still be business enough."

John Burton
John R. Burton is a personal injury lawyer in Fort Worth, Texas. He has been practicing law in North Texas since 1994. He was born and raised in Tarrant County, Texas and graduated from Mansfield High School (back when there was just one!). He did his undergraduate work at the University of Texas at Arlington and got his Juris Doctorate degree at the University of Mississippi School of Law in Oxford. After law school John moved back home to Tarrant County and went to work practicing law.
Because of his parents' hard work, John was the first in his family to get to go to college and the first to earn a professional degree. His upbringing has motivated John to spend his professional life helping working families in Texas. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas; United States District Court, Northern District of Texas; the Texas Trial Lawyers Association; Tarrant County Trial Lawyers Association; and the Tarrant County Bar Association. He is rated BV by Martindale Hubble.
John has tried numerous cases to jury verdict and has mediated and settled hundreds more. His biggest source of clients is referrals from former clients.
Non-Legal Interests
In his non-legal time John likes DIY projects and has contracted the running bug. He makes quite a bit of sawdust in his garage and sometimes manages to turn out a cabinet or two. He completed the 2013 Cowtown Marathon with the help of the nice folks at Fort Worth Running Company. If you see John jogging around town, feel free to say hey. A glass of water would be nice, too.
